Poker is a game which is dealt with a 52-card deck, in which one to seven players and the Dealer each receive a 5-card hand. The players play against the Dealer, and there is no draw. The objective of the game is to have a higher poker hand than the Dealer. Players place a single wager (called an "Ante") and have the option to Fold or to Call by adding an additional wager. If the player Folds, they lose their Ante.
If the player Calls, their hand plays against the Dealer's hand, but only if the Dealer "qualifies" (by having a hand of Ace-King or higher). If the Dealer does not qualify, players that Called are paid even money on their Ante only. If the Dealer does qualify, a winning player is paid even money on the Ante, and at even odds or better on the Call bets, according to the pay table. If the Dealer has a higher poker hand than the player, the player loses the Ante and the Call bet. There are also jackpot pay-offs for flushes and above in this game.
How to play:
At the beginning of the game, the player places an Ante (initial bet), receives a hand, and decides whether he would like to bet against the Dealer's hand. One of the Dealer's cards is dealt face up so that your decision will have to be made on the card shown and the strength of your 5-card poker hand.
At this point, if you believe that you can't beat the Dealer then you can simply fold. If you fold, you forfeit your Ante. To bet against the Dealer, you must double your Ante (click "Raise"). To win, you must not only beat the Dealer's hand but the Dealer must also "qualify".
If the Dealer does not qualify, you are paid 1 to 1 on your Ante and your "Raise" is returned to you as a push. If your hand beats the Dealer's hand and the Dealer qualifies, you're paid on the Ante and your Raise. The payoff of the Ante is 1 to 1. The payout on your bet will be determined by the quality of your hands. If the Dealer beats your hand, you lose both your Ante and your bet. In the event if you and the Dealer have the same hand, the next highest card (kicker) determines the winner.
Initially, the dealer exposes the first card out of five cards possessed by him. Based upon yours and the dealer's exposed card, you decide to play the hand or to fold. If you fold, you lose your ante. If you play, you place an additional bet exactly twice the amount you anted earlier. The dealer then reveals his remaining four cards. If the dealer's hand is not Ace-King or better, the player is paid even money on the ante and nothing on the bet.
If the dealer's hand is Ace-King or better it is said to 'qualify' (for play against the player). In that case, if the dealer's hand is better than the player's, the player's ante and bet are collected by the dealer. If the dealer's qualifying hand is worse than the player's hand, the player is paid even money on the ante and the bonus amount on the bet according to the player's hand.
There is an optional independent side bet available for which the player is paid for being dealt premium hands (flush or better). The payoff of this side bet is based on a progressive jackpot for straight flushes (10% of jackpot) and royal flushes (100%). Four of a kind is paid 100, full house 75 and flush 50.
